Use templates to create an analyst

Creating good prompts can be challenging and time-consuming, especially if you’re new to AI prompting. To help you get started with creating an analyst on Alfa, our team has put together several templates for you to use.

Find the best template for your needs

To find a template to use, follow these steps:

  1. Click Analyst Library on the left-hand side of your screen
  2. Here, you will see all templates, and have the ability to sort them based on your desired use case

Use a template

Once you’re ready to use a template, click on it to begin customizing it. On the left-hand side, you’ll see the prompt template. Fields highlighted are what you should customize based on your personal goals.

Filling out the template

Retrieve news articles for the topics tariffs, US-China, China, and US and brainstorm the possible outcomes of deteriorating US-China relations . Generate profiles for companies benefiting from each brainstormed outcome. Retrieve stocks in the R3K - PerformanceTesting and get recent news developments for these stocks. Filter for companies in the R3K - PerformanceTesting that stand to benefit from each of these outcomes.

  1. Fill in your desired topics
  2. Fill in your desired idea for which you want outcomes
  3. Tell Alfa which stocks to look for

Tip: You can edit any part of the template beyond what’s highlighted in grey.

Once you’ve edited the template to your liking, click Use to tell Alfa to generate an analyst using your prompt.

Verify the plan of action

After your initial prompt, your analyst will immediately generate a plan of action, visible under the Worklog tab. At any point, you can ask your analyst to change something about the worklog in order to take a different approach to answering your inquiry.
